Study of the physical and chemical properties of underground water; the physical properties of aquifers and their effect on the contained waters; water movement and the conservation and utilization of existing ground water bodies as well as development of new water bodies and rejuvenation of depleted and starved aquifers.

Prerequisites:  Calculus (one year); General Physics, General Chemistry.  The ability to use spreadsheets will be assumed.

Exams:  Every Monday except the first day of class.  Last exam Nov 3.

 

Homework:  Typed, 12 pt, neat, and handed in on time.  Equations may be hand drawn, but in a neat manner.  The order of the homework questions handed in are to be the same sequential order asked.  Sloppy or poorly written work may not be accepted and if accepted points deducted.  Late homework is not encouraged and points will be deducted if they are late.  Please see me if some work can not be handed in on time.

Homework and project policy:  All homework and projects are to be treated as professional reports.  

Exams:  All exams will be based on class notes, the book reading, and the homework.  Therefore, some topics will be covered in class that are not in the book and vice versa.
